PURPOSE:To shorten the time of insulation layer making work, by providing a short circuit preventive insulation resin layer on a terminal member connected to the terminal portion of a battery case, near the positive and negative electrode terminal portions of the case, to simplify the insulation layer making work. CONSTITUTION:A terminal member 3, which is to be a terminal portion, is connected to the case of a miniature battery 1 shaped as a button or the like. The terminal member 3 is made of stainless steel or the like plated with nickel. An insulation resin layer 2 of ultraviolet-ray-hardened resin or the like is provided on the portion of the terminal member 3, which is other than the connected portion A thereof and corresponds to the mutually nearby parts of the positive and negative terminal portions of he battery 1. The connected portion A of the terminal member 3 is connected to the battery 1 by laser welding or the like. Since the insulation layer 2 is provided not on the surface of the battery 1 but on the terminal member 3, the work of making the insulation layer is simplified and the layer is prevented from affecting the outside diameter of the battery. |
