摘要 |
PURPOSE:To suppress production of oxygen gas and to suppress inflation of cell by forming the positive electrode active material for an enclosed alkaline- manganese secondary cell while specifying X-value of manganese oxide MnOx. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode active material for forming a positive electrode 2 is formed by mixing a manganese oxide MnOx having X-value in the range of 1.90-1.70 with a conductive agent or carbon black. Then it is arranged in a positive electrode case 1 and assembled with a negative electrode 7 employing zinc filled in a sealing board 8 as the negative electrode active material, a separator 4 and an impregnating member 5 thus to form an enclosed alkaline-manganese secondary cell employing alkaline aqueous solution as electrolyte. The range of the oxidizing degree X in MnOx is limited to suppress production of oxygen gas effectively. Consequently, inflation or explosion of cell is eliminated resulting in a cell having excellent pressure withstanding characteristic. |
