<p>The vehicle tyre monitoring system has a sensor mounted on the wheel or tyre, the sensor including signal generator. A signal transmitter and receiver are coupled by an electrical circuit including the part of the typre containing ground or road surface. The signal generator pref. includes an electric oscillator, the sensor being a switch responsive to the tyre pressure. The switch actuates the oscillator when the pressure falls below a predetermined value. The switch, oscillator and a battery may be mounted as a unit inside the tyre.</p> |
