<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with waste water treatment by providing a washing tower consisting of a water spray and the succeeding packed tower between a desorption tower and a sulfur recovery system, evaporating the purge water of the washing tower in a hot water vaporizer and reutilizing the generated steam in the stack gas desulfurizer. CONSTITUTION:The stack gas of a boiler 1 is discharged into the atmosphere through an adsorption tower 2, the desorbed gas from the desorption tower 4 is brought into contact with the water spray 6a in the washing tower 6 and NH4Cl, (NH4)2SO4, HF, etc., are washed off. The desorbed gas is brought into contact with the solid in the succeeding packed tower 6b and NH4Cl, etc., are completely removed. The SO2-enriched gas discharged from the washing tower 6 is sent to the sulfur recovery system 7 wherein high-purity sulfur is recovered and the remaining tail gas is burned in an incinerator 8. The purge water of the washing tower 6 is discharged into a hot water vaporizer 11 in accordance with the level in a washing water vessel 9, the heat is exchanged with the steam in the hot water vaporizer 11, the drains are evaporated and the generated steam is returned to the inlet or the outlet of the adsorption tower 2 and reutilized.</p> |
