发明名称 IMPROVEMENT OF SURFACE CHARACTERISTIC OF THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING PAPER
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily enhance ink transfer characteristics of a recording paper, by a method wherein a recording paper is laid on a film comprising a coated resin layer on the surface of a thin sheet form base so that a recording surface of the paper faces the coated resin layer, and heat and pressure are applied. CONSTITUTION:A coated resin layer 2a, 2b of a resin-coated film 4 and a transfer recording surface of a recording paper 5 are caused to face each other, and the film 4 and the paper 5 are heated while pressing them between a heated pressing member 6 such as a heated roller and a heated board and a platen roller 7. By the heating and pressing operation, the coated resin layer 2a, 2b of the film 4 is melted, and is transferred onto the transfer recording surface of the paper 5. Recessed parts 5a of the surface of the recording paper 5 are filled with either a thermoplastic resin or the thermoplastic resin and a pigment, whereby the smoothness of the surface is enhanced. In addition, since the paper is coated with a water-insoluble resin having favorable affinity for a heat-fusible ink, transferrability of the ink is markedly enhanced.
