PURPOSE:To prevent a streak form pattern with a low recorded density from being generated and perform uniform recording, by a method wherein when recording after a recording operation is suspended for at least a predetermined period of time, a recording paper is returned to the position thereof before the suspension, re-recording is conducted at that position, and then the data following the point where recording has been left off are recorded. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 5 discriminates whether the content T of a timer counter 9 is greater than to. When it is discriminated that T <= to, the content of a shift register 4 is transferred to a driver group 3 [step (h)], and thermal transfer recording is immediately conducted according to the content [step (i)]. On the other hand, when it is discriminated that T > to, the microcomputer 5 starts a recording paper feeding part 7 and an ink sheet feeding part 8 to feed a recording paper and an ink sheet backward by a two-line amount [step (d)] and then feed the forward by a one-line amount [step (e)]. This feeding solves the nonuniform feeding parts 7, 8, and the same condition as that before suspension or recording can be obtained. |
