A polyethylene tubular container to collect and store blood samples can be squeezed to change its volume and effect the suction. A storage container has a cross-section small enough to prevent a free flow of the sample from the tubular container into it or back when held vertically. To produce a suction independent of the container vol. a suction tube connected to the tubular container is used to produce a vacuum.
