摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the positional accuracy of an insulative substrate and a protrusion, to narrow the form of the protrusion to a uniform width, to increase its height and to obtain a thermal head which enables high-quality and uniform printing to be carried out by pouring sintering paste into a metal die consisting of a female die with a protrusion, heating an insulative substrate set in the metal die frame and manufacturing the protrusion after removing the insulative substrate. CONSTITUTION:A given quantity of glass paste is applied and dried inside a female die 4 obtained by processing and forming a narrow and tall protrusion with high precision. Next, a ceramic insulative substrate 1 is embedded into its die frame and is heated by a heating furnace 6 up to several hundreds of degree. The ceramic, receiving a glass content on heated, adheres to glass paste through reaction. However, it does not adhere to the female lower die 4, and a protrusion 3 is formed on the insulative substrate 1 by removing the substrate 1 from the female die 4. On this protrusion 3, a heating element and others are formed, thus enabling the manufacture of a thermal head to be realized. The form of this protrusion 3 depends on the accuracy of the female die, and the thermal head is uniformly manufactured without unevenness.</p>
