PURPOSE:To simplify, miniaturize a circuit and, reduce an electric power on the primary side by constituting a series resonance circuit according to inductance L and the static capacitance of a piezoelectric transformer. CONSTITUTION:Inductance L and the static capacitance of a piezoelectric transformer T form a series resonance circuit. Inductance L and the piezoelectric transformer T are in 'voltage resonance state,' and a voltage applied to both ends of the piezoelectric transformer T is increased by Q of the resonance circuit. Assuming that Q=5, and the boosting ratio is 24 at a 50MOMEGA load, a voltage required to obtain 3kV at A point will be 3,000/5X24=25V, thus producing almost the same boosting ratio as in the conventional case. In the actual ink jet printer, a larger boosting ratio will be obtained because the load is considered almost infinity . |
