The invention relates to a modular wall panel intended to form the external wall of a dwelling place, especially adapted to the prefabricated constructions for hot countries. According to the present invention, the modular wall panel 8 intended to form, by assembling, the external wall 3 of a dwelling place 1 is made up of two external boards 9 and 10 which are separated by spacers 11 provided with fastening means, at least one of the said boards 9 or 10 having, at its upper part, one or more cut-outs 12 intended for the subsequent filling of the panel with a packing material 13. This method of production makes it possible to lower the cost price, particularly due to the fact that the panel is formed on site using a local product obtained near the building site as packing materials 13. The invention will find its application especially in the field of the construction of prefabricated dwelling places in African countries. <IMAGE>
