New derivative of N,N-dimethylethylamine and process for its preparation. The subject of the invention is the N-oxide of 2,2-diphenoxy-N,N-dimethylethylamine, and its addition salts with an inorganic or organic acid. The said compounds are useful as active principles in antidepressant pharmaceutical compositions.
