PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent lubricity, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, etc., keeping heat-resistance and mechanical strength of base resin and suitable as automobile parts, various bearings, etc., by adding a specific amount of a specific phenolic resin to an aromatic polyamide imide resin and melting the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a polyamide imide resin of formula (R1 is trivalent aromatic group containing at least one benzene ring; R2 is bivalent organic group; R3 is H, etc.) with (B) 10-90pts. of a phenolic resin having an infrared absorption spectrum wherein the ratio of the maximum absorption intensity D990-1020 of the characteristic absorption (990-1020cm<-1>) of methylol group to the absorption intensity D1600 of the characteristic absorption of benzene nucleus is >=0.2 and melting the mixture. |
