The front end of the chair seat (10) is connected via an articulation (14) to an adjustment rod (13) fitted in the chair longitudinal direction. This rod is displaceably accommodated in a guide casing (12) fixed to the frame (3-6) of the chair. The guide casing (12) runs along the centre line of the chair, and with its longitudinal direction at an acute angle to the horizontal plane. It has a lock mechanism (18) fo r the for the adjustment rod (13), and its operating hand grip (20) is positioned at the side of the chair. |
