The invention relates to a concrete mixer with opposing flow. This apparatus comprises a drum 1, a shaft 2 driven by an external geared motor unit and bearing a mixing-dispersing element, and is characterised in that the drum 1 has, at its lower part, a frustoconical zone 6 and in that the mixing element consists, on the one hand, of an arc-shaped blade 7, one end of which is fixed to the shaft, the lower edge of the blade being parallel to the bottom of the drum and the height of the blade decreasing away from the shaft, the latter rotating in the opposite direction to that towards which the blade 7 is directed, and, on the other hand, of a scraping plate 8 placed in line with the frustoconical zone 6 and located behind the said blade 7 and, finally, of a bottom scraping plate 9 located behind the said scraping plate 8.
