Pyridoxine dextrane sulphate of formula (I), for prevention and treatment of kidney stones is made by reacting pyridoxine for formula (V) in aq. soln. with sodium dextrane sulphate of formula (III) which has previously passed through Lewartite S-100 resin in protonic form. The final pH is kept at pH 3 approx. and the prod. separated by lyophilising as a yellowish-white powder with pyridoxine content 51-52% which decomposes at 220 deg.C.
