BLADE BODY FOR WORK RELATED TO SOIL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To manufacture a blade body fit for use for a long period by sticking powder having high hardness and wear resistance to the part of a base material to be hardened and by forcing the powder into the part to form a hardened layer. CONSTITUTION:Powder 3 having high hardness and wear resistance such as WC or TiN powder is stuck to both sides or one side of the part 2 of a black 1 to be hardened to form the edge of a blade body with a binder to a proper thickness. The blank 1 having the stuck powder 3 is made red-hot by heating in a heating furnace and the powder 3 is forced into the surface layers of the part 2 by rolling to form hardened layers 4. The resulting blank 5 for blade body is finished to the final shape of a blade body by forging, pressing or other means to obtain a product.
