PURPOSE:To form a plating film having a uniform and prescribed compsn. without unevenness by moving a steel strip in a plating cell provided with vertical U-shaped electrodes and passing a plating bath in the plating cell by making use of a head. CONSTITUTION:The steel strip 5 is moved between a pair of the 1st and 2nd electrode plates 6 and 7 disposed in respective vertical passages 12 and 13 via contact rolls 2, 4 and sink rolls 3 of the vertical type electrogalvanizing cell 11 consisting of the 1st and 2nd vertical passages 12, 13 and a horizontal passage 14 communicating therewith at the bottom part thereof. The plating bath is further supplied from an electrogalvanizing bath supply pipe 17 via branch pipes 17a, 17b to the top end parts 15, 16 of both vertical passages 12, 13. The head (h) is formed on the plating bath surface of opening and closing of valves 20, 21 to adjust the flow direction and speed of the plating bath flowing in the above-mentioned passages 12, 13, 14. The plating bath flow is thereby made uniform and the plating film having high quality is formed. |
