A hood for maintenance of an oxygen concentration in its interior, having an internal gas inlet connected to a distributor and having a support and an opening into the environment is to be improved in such a way that uniform enrichment in oxygen of a specific, steady concentration in the region of the respiratory tract and, at the same time, flushing-away of the exhaled carbon dioxide are achieved, it being possible to omit sealing of the hood interior against the environment. For this purpose, it is provided that the distributor be designed as an injector (7) and that both its air inlet (8) for sucking-in and mixing the air in the hood interior with the oxygen entering from the inlet (5), and its air outlet (9) are located in the hood interior. <IMAGE> |
