<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an expanded image of which slashed part is processed so that its rough surface is made quiet at real time by detecting picture elements changing the outputs of a main scanning direction, separating the picture elements into (m) gradations and reading out the picture elements in respetive gradations to execute a variable power processing in the main scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of an enlargement, an original can be finely read out by delaying a scanning speed in the subscanning direction. In the main scanning direction, picture elements changing their outputs due to the leading edge, trailing edge or the like of picture elements are not read out simply as binarization data of '1' or '0' and the picture elements are separated into four gradations, e.g., and read out like 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4. These picture elements are enlarged three times in the main scanning direction like 3/4 1, 6/4 2, 9/4 2, 12/4 3 to obtain an enlarged image 12. The enlarged image is almost an ideal expanded image and the rough surface on the slashed part of the image 8 is made quiet.</p> |
