In an internal tank fuel pump with a unit housing 1, which accommodates the pump and the electric motor driving this and has an intake aperture at its bottom end 2, the unit housing 1 is arranged in a closed noise capsule 5 made from a material with high internal damping, which can be directly or indirectly connected by way of elastic bearings 12 to the tank wall 8 and which with the bottom end 2 of the unit housing 1 defines a prechamber 14, to which a plurality of intake hoses 15 are connected.
