The invention provides an installation for the production of helical-seam tubes which comprises a rounding device, the outer and inner rounding drive rolls (1, 3 and 7, 8) of which are arranged to the outside and to the inside, respectively, of a tube (4), and further comprises a guiding device, the supporting rollers (10, 11) of which are arranged not far from the location of the weld, opposite the edges of the strip (2) and of the tube (4). According to the invention, the rounding device is provided with a rounding sleeve (9) which surrounds part of the surface of the first turn of the tube (4) to be rounded, from the outer rounding roll (1) on the same side as the strip (2) to the outer rounding roll (3) on the same side as the tube (4). <IMAGE>
