A fuel-operated heating appliance is specified, which is intended in particular as an auxiliary heating appliance or additional heating appliance and has a nozzle seated on a nozzle stock. The fuel from a fuel pipe is supplied to the nozzle via a filter and a fuel pump with interposition of a solenoid valve, and an ignition-spark generator with ignition electrodes is provided for ignition of the combustible mixture. A combustion-air blower supplies combustion air to the burner. In this heating appliance, the nozzle stock, the fuel pump, the filter and the solenoid valve form a constructional unit, it being possible for the filter to be integrated in the fuel pump. Expediently, this constructional unit can be fastened by means of screws to a flange which is set into a housing part of the heating appliance. A ignition-spark generator and a central connection device, such as a burner motor, can also be mounted on this flange. Expediently, the flow pipe and/or the return pipe for the fuel supply are also constructed in the flange.
