The hinging strongroom door has a locking mechanism with beams in the frame engaging in recesses in the door. There are four beams (3,4,5,6) in all the frame (1), extending right round the door (2), coupled together and sliding. The one (5) on the hinge side slides in the frame and the other three in mating recesses in the door. The operating mechanism (42) has sliding partitions (43-56), pressed against the beam on the hinge side when locked and against the opposite one (3) when open.
