发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF POSITIVE ELECTRODE FOR BIVALENT SILVER CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate stepped discharge voltage by treating bivalent silver oxide particles with alkaline aqueous solution containing stannic acid ions while to form a stable positive electrode for bivalent silver oxide cell by suppressing self-decomposition of bivalent silver oxide particles. CONSTITUTION:Bivalent silver oxide particles are immersed into 30wt% potassiumhydroxide aqueous solution containing 3wt% of stannic chloride, for example, for about 10min under the liquid temperature of 20 deg.C then filtered and washed with water and vacuum dried. Consequently, bivalent silver oxide on the surface of the particle is reduced to silver while tin compound is formed. Then said particles are molded with pressure of 3 ton/cm<2> and immersed into said aqueous solution for 40min under the liquid temperature of 40 deg.C to reduce the surface of the molded material thus to form a silver layer and to remove such portion where the voltage at the initial discharge stage is 1.8V. Furthermore, tin compound is formed onto the surface of the particles and the molded material resulting in suppression of self-decomposition of bivalent silver oxide.
