The cube, whose dimensions may be chosen to suit the advertising requirements, rotates on a fixed circular base contg. a massive flywheel for stabilisation of angular velocity and redn. of demand on the driving motor. This is energised from solar cells installed on the triangular pyramids at the corners of the cube, with back-up from the mains power supply. - The flywheel has friction-reducing bearings on both faces and Cu collectors for current supply to the motor and circular-tube fluorescent lighting. The direction of rotation of the cube and of the film-strip projectors associated with its faces is reversed periodically.
