Gas feed and distribution apparatus

The gas feed and distribution apparatus has at least one gas distributor plate (13) of moulded bricks (14). Through the moulded bricks run gas feed ducts (15) which have outlet slots on the top sides of the moulded bricks. Bulk material is loaded onto the gas distributor plate (13). The apparatus can be used, for example, as a gas purification system, rotting plate in composting systems and as a combined gas purification and rotting plate. The gas distributor plate (13) is at least partly surrounded by a manifold duct (16). The untreated gas is fed through the untreated gas line (36) to an inlet chamber (25), from where it flows into the manifold duct (16) in order to be distributed from there to the gas feed ducts (15). The gas distributor plate (13) has a drain slope, so that excess water present in the filter medium flows into the manifold (16) and from this is fed via a water pipe (26) to the inlet chamber (25). The inlet chamber (25) contains a water reservoir and a spray apparatus in order to moisten the untreated gas before its distribution.
