A device for continuous heat-treatment of steel pipes which have in particular thin walls and a relatively large diameter, consists of a transport roller table (14) which holds the pipe, a ring burner (2) which surrounds the pipe (13) concentrically and is provided with a plurality of burner jets (11) arranged distributed over the circumference, and, if necessary, an inner and/or outer spray ring. In order to be able to match the device quickly and without a large degree of expenditure to the changing pipe diameters, the burner jets (11) are directed radially and perpendicularly towards the pipe (13) and the ring burner (2) is designed so as to be interchangeable and rotatable and is equipped with a rotary drive (6). <IMAGE>
