PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization and cost reduction of the titled apparatus and to perform the feed of a sheet material with high accuracy by obtaining a good transmission state, by supporting a motor by a cover member and locating the cover member using the predetermined constitutional member of a transmission mechanism at the time of the mounting of said cover member. CONSTITUTION:A dust cover 2 has a hollow structure opened at the righthand side thereof and a paper feed motor 3 is mounted on the dust cover 2 and the drive shaft of the paper feed motor 3 having a pinion 10 fixed thereto is inserted through the dust cover 2. The dust cover 2 covers the whole of a speed reducing gear mechanism 5 and the pinion 10 is located so as to be meshed with the first stage first speed reducing gear 11 of the speed reducing mechanism 5 to be mounted onto a base plate 1 without generating a gap. The speed reducing mechanism 5 is blocked from the outside by the dust cover 2 and the base plate 1 and the adhesion of a paper powder to the speed reducing gear mechanism 5 is prevented to make it possible not only to keep paper feed with high accuracy but also to arrange the pinion 10 in the extremely vicinity of an output shaft 4 without receiving limitation by the main body of a platen 6. The paper feed motor 3, the dust cover 2 and the speed reducing gear mechanism 5 can be brought together in a compact state and the apparatus can be miniaturized. |
