PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device which comprises a capacitor having a sufficient capacitance value as a smoothing capacitor of a high voltage generating circuit by forming a transparent conductive film on the surface of screen plate. CONSTITUTION:An image display apparatus can be formed by a rear surface electrode 1, a plurality of line cathodes 2, electrodes 3, 3' which receive electron beam in the front side from line cathodes 2 and converge it in the vertical direction, a vertical deflection electrode 4, a control electrode 5 which modulates electron beam with an image signal, a horizontal converging electrode 6, a horizontal deflection electrode 7, a beam acceleration electrode 8 and a screen 9 which emits the light when the electron beam collides thereto. In such an image display apparatus, a transparent conductive film 13 is formed to the opposite surface of the phosphor film 11 and the metal back 12 forming surface of the glass plate 10 and a capacitance between this conductive film 13 and metal back 12 is considered as a smoothing capacitor of a high voltage generating circuit which generates a high voltage to be applied to the metal back 12. Thereby, sufficiently smoothed output can be obtained. |
