PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy plated steel sheet with superior corrosion resistance, heat resistance and workability by dipping an Ni coated steel sheet in a molten Al alloy contg. Si and a little Ti. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of a steel sheet are coated with Ni, and the Ni coated steel sheet is dipped in a molten Al alloy contg. 3-15% Si and 0.001- 1.5% Ti. Ni of the underlayers improves the corrosion resistance of the Al alloy deteriorated by Si. Ni reacts with Ti during the dipping or use at a high temp., forming Si-Ti-Al alloy layers having densely and uniformly dispersed conformable crystals, so the workability and heat resistance of the steel sheet are improved. |
