<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the change of armature current at the time of a transition from a series connection to a parallel connection, and to make it comfortable to ride in by keeping armature currents constant on a series-parallel changeover. CONSTITUTION:When changeover switches 8B, 8C for a parallel connection are closed under the state in which a changeover switch 8A for a series connection is closed, interlocking contracts 8AA, 8BB, 8CC are made, the operation of a generating circuit for a proportional control pattern in a field current controller 3 is inhibited, and a constant-current pattern is utilized. When a series-parallel changeover is completed and the changeover switch 8A for the series connection is opened, and original proportional control pattern is made to live, and a motor is operated by proportional control characteristics. Accordingly, the change of armature currents generated at the time of a transition from the series connection to the parallel connection can be reduced largely, thus making it comfortable to ride in.</p> |
