<p>The container has a flat border flange provided with a sealing layer, onto which flange there can be sealed a lid, likewise provided with a sealing layer, the sealing layers being pressed onto each other with the application of pressure and heat. With the method customary nowadays, keeping the sealing parameters, in particular the final thickness of the sealing layers, constant to within close tolerances is a technically complex task. According to the invention, the sealing layers are pressed together to a fixed fraction of their initial thickness, a rigid stop being provided, which ensures a constant, plane-parallel final spacing of the sealing tool halves. <IMAGE></p> |
