PURPOSE:To make temperature distribution uniform and make current density uniform by varying every layer a flow direction of oxidizing gas and fuel gas which flow with a unit cell in each layer of a fuel cell interposed which is stacked with a separator interposed. CONSTITUTION:Oxidizing gas OG-1 and fuel gas FG-1 are supplied onto each electrode surface of an oxygen electrode 2 and a fuel electrode 3 of fuel cell unit with a separator 4 interposed, and are sequentially supplied every step in a similar way. Since oxidizing gases OG-1, OG-2 and fuel gasses FG-1, FG-2 which flow through an adjacent unit with a separator 1 interposed flow in parallel respectively, heat exchange with each gas which flows through an adjacent electrolyte plate 1 is suppressed, the temperature distribution of gas is reversed in the adjacent electrolyte plates 1, and the electrode and electrolyte plate have uniform temperature distribution. Thereby, it is possible to set highs average temperature over the whole surface, and current density is made uniform and high power output density can be obtained. |
