摘要 PURPOSE:To produce the titled compsn. giving moldings in which a difference in strength between molecular orientation directions is small, by kneading a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer with a potassium titanate fiber contg. no water of crystallization in a nitrogen stream. CONSTITUTION:40-95wt% thermotropic liquid crystal polymer (A) contg. at least 10% repeating unit contg. a naphthalene moiety (e.g., a polyethylene terephthalate/hydroxybenzoic acid copolymer) and 60-5wt% potassium titanate fiber (B) having a length of 10-20mum and a fiber diameter of 0.2-0.5mum and contg. no water of crystallization are fed to a kneader equipped with a vent. Dry nitrogen gas is forcedly introduced from the hopper side of the kneader thereinto and kneading is conducted, while gas formed during kneading is vented through the vent connected to a vacuum source.
