SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable handling under bright safelight or in daylight by incorporating a yellow dye by which sensitivity to visible light is lost and an ultraviolet absorber enough to halve the intrinsic sensitivity of a silver halide emulsion layer at a specified wavelength. CONSTITUTION:This silver halide photographic sensitive material has a silver halide emulsion layer contg. silver chloride particles or silver chlorobromide particles contg. >=80mol% silver chloride and contains a yellow dye by which sensitivity to visible light having >=420nm wavelength is lost and an ultraviolet absorber enough to reduce the intrinsic sensitivity of the silver halide emulsion layer at 360nm wavelength to half or less in the silver halide emulsion layer and other hydrophilic colloidal layer. The gamma-value of the sensitive material is >=10. When the extent of exposure required to give 0.3 blackening transmis sion density after processing with a developing soln. is represented by A and the extent of exposure required to give 3.0 blackening transmission density by B, the gamma-value is calculated by a formula gamma=-(3.0-0.3)/(logA-logB).
