PURPOSE:To provide a skin cosmetic containing a specific compound, free from side effect and skin irritation undesirable to human body, storable stably for a long period and having excellent effect to prevent the aging of skin such as the effect to improve the chapped skin, improve the corneous tissue, increase the rate of turn-over, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains at least one of the vitamin C-gamma-linoleic acid ester of formula I (R1-R4 are H or group of formula II; at least one of R1-R4 is not H) [e.g. ascorbyl 6-mono(gamma-linolate), ascorbyl 2,5-di(gamma-linolate), etc.]. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting gamma-linoleyl chloride with vitamin C. The objective cosmetic can be produced by directly adding the compound to a cosmetic and subjecting the mixture to emulsification, mixing, dispersion, dissolution, etc. The amount of the compound in the composition is 0.01-10wt% based on the whole cosmetic composition. EFFECT:The cosmetic promotes the dermatic function, prevents the wrinkle of skin and gives fine and moisturized skin. |
