摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify a rolling reduction mechanism by placing in a horizontal direction a rolling reduction unit in which one end of a lever and the other end of the lever are connected to the other crank shaft and the lower part of a crank, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a driving shaft 7 is rotated counterclockwise, a rolling reduction is applied to a crank 10 by a rolling reduction crank shaft 8, and also a large link 11 is moved to the right by a feed crank shaft 9, a lever 14 is oscillated counterclockwise, and a feed to the left is applied to the crank 10 through a small link 12. Also, when the driving shaft 7 is rotated by 180 deg., the rolling reduction crank shaft 8 is converted to a revolting motion, also the feed crank shaft 9 gives a return motion to the large link 11, and the crank 10 is returned through the small link 12. The locus of a point B of rolling reduction metallic fittings 15 becomes as shown by X in the figure, and a width rolling reduction is executed by synchronizing with the motion of a slab 1.
