<p>Acidic gases, especially CO2 and H2S, are scrubbed out from gas mixtures by scrubbing with methanol which contains substances having an alkaline reaction and, after absorption of the acidic gases, is regenerated by letting down, stripping and/or hot regeneration, and re-used. To improve the H2S stripping from the rich methanol in a regeneration column, it is proposed to feed CO2 to the circulating methanol at a point where it is usually CO2-free.</p> |
