PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent resistance to impact, org. solvents and oils, moldability and coatability, consisting of a polyphenylene ether resin, a polyamide resin and a specified modified block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:0.05-15wt% alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative [e.g., maleic acid (anhydride)] is grafted onto a partially hydrogenated arom. vinyl compd./conjugated diene block copolymer obtd. by partially hydrogenating a block copolymer composed of styrene/butadiene, styrene/isoprene or styrene/ butadiene/isoprene and having a Brookfield viscosity of 250-3,000 (in 15wt% toluene soln. at 25 deg.C) to obtain a modified block copolymer (C). 95-50wt% resin compsn. consisting of 70-10wt% polyphenylene ether resin (A) and 30-90wt% polyamide resin (B) such as nylon 6b, nylon 6, etc., is melt-kneaded with 5-50wt% component C at 200-350 deg.C. |
