PURPOSE:To prevent surely the wasteful consumption of a carrier liquid in a meter for quantitative determination of blood component by setting an injector to an injecting port so that the carrier liquid is transported. CONSTITUTION:This meter for quantitative determination of blood component is so constituted that when an injector 21 is set in an injecting port 23 for a sample soln. communicated with a flow pipe 8 for a carrier liquid provided with a pump 3 for transporting the carrier liquid, a switch is actuated by the injector 21 and a pump driving circuit is started. The switch 35 is therefore actuated when the injector 21 is set in the port 23. The pump 3 is then automatically driven and the carrier liquid is transported. When the injector 21 is removed from the port 23, the switch 35 is reset to the non-actuated state and the pump 3 is stopped, by which the unnecessary transportion of the carrier liquid is prevented. An equally satisfactory result is obtainable by providing a timer to the pump driving circuit and stopping the pump 3 in the prescribed time after the injector 21 is set in the port 23. |
