PURPOSE:To reduce the length of the lip part by forming the base part of a sealing apparatus for sealing the part between the pressure chamber of a master cylinder and a reservoir into thinner form gradually towards the lip part which is deformed together with the transfer of fluid, thus eliminating the need of a liquid supplying groove. CONSTITUTION:Each primary cup 221, 222 consisting of rubber molded articles is formed into a ring shape as a whole, and constituted of the inside and outside lip parts 52 and 54 and a base part 50 for connecting the lip parts. The base part 50 is made gradually thinner towards the point E on the outer peripheral side from the point O on the inner peripheral side. While, the parts close to he front surfaces 52a and 54a of the inside and outside lip parts 52 and 54 project inwardly and outwardly, respectively. The angle alpha is 30 deg. or so. Since, when liquid is supplied, the outside lip part 54 is deformed together with the base part 50, the liquid supply performance can be markedly improved. |
