<p>PURPOSE:To increase the contact area between a liq. and a wire mesh by providing different directions to the adjacent ribs of a laminate and forming the laminate with >=2 sheets of a fabric or knitted goods having ribs in the same direction, having a self-supporting property and rigidity and attached to each other. CONSTITUTION:Two or more than two sheets of a fabric or knitted goods 1 and 1' of a wire, etc., are laminated to form a laminate. The laminate has a self-supporting property and rigidity and is arranged in parallel with the axis of the tower. Since the liq. can be spread horizontally and vertically by the capillary action, the liq. is freely moved. The laminate has a rib 2 and the adjacent ribs of the laminate have different directions. Since two sheets of the wire mesh are thus laminated, the contact area between the liq. and the wire mesh can be increased.</p> |
