PURPOSE:To increase the life of an element by providing two intake ports which open on both engine room side and cab side, on an air cleaning device provided in said engine room of a special vehicle, and enabling a closing cover for opening and closing each of the intake ports to be selectively operated by means of an operating lever in said cab. CONSTITUTION:A special vehicle 1 such as an armored car, etc. has a cab 2 on the front part of a body, with an engine room 3 and baggage rooms 4, 5 being provided on the rear side of the cab 2 in order. in the engine room 3, an engine 10 is provided in the center part while an air cleaner 6 is provided on the right facing forward. This air cleaner 6 is installed close to a wall 13 which partitions the cab 2 and the engine room 3 and right behind a controller 12, and has a first and a second intake port 7, 8 opening in both rooms 2, 3 respectively. Covers 17, 29 which are provided on the intake ports 7, 8 respectively, can be selectively opened and closed through an operating lever 25 provided in the cab, and the cover 17 on the cab 2 side is opened when traveling through a cloud of sand. |
