PURPOSE:To provide an engine mount having a simple structure and greatly lowering transmission of vibration so that it is possible to prevent its performance from lowering, by attaching a rubber block at one end thereof with an engine side attaching member and at the other end with a vehicle side attaching member while a highly viscous member and a resistant member are disposed in the rubber block. CONSTITUTION:A rubber block 2 formed therein with a rectangular cross-sectioned shape hollow chamber 4 having an opening 2 is vulcanizedly fixed at one end thereof with an engine attaching plate 5 having a bolt 6 and at the other end thereof with a vehicle body side attaching plate 7 while the hollow chamber 4 is tightly closed by a blocking plate 9. Further, a resistant plate 10 made of rubber resilient materials and having a trapezoidal shape is vulcanizedly secured to the blocking plate 9 with a slight gap S being held between the resistant plate 10 and the inner surface of the hollow chamber 4, and a highly viscous material 11 is charged in the hollow chamber 4. In this arrangement, the plate surface of the resistant member 10 is set to be orthogonal to the roll axis of the engine and is secured between the engine and the vehicle body. Accordingly, the transmission of vibration is greatly lowered, thereby it is possible to prevent the performance of the mount from lowering due to deterioration of durability thereof. |
