PURPOSE:To improve the safety of traveling by providing a check valve, a damping valve,and a shut-off valve in the rod cover part of a hydraulic cylinder and obtaining a compression maintaining function and a buffering function, in the captioned device in which said hydraulic cylinder is provided between a body frame and a wheel. CONSTITUTION:In a hydraulic cylinder 1 which is provided on each right and left side on the front wheel side of a car and having a suspension spring (unshown in the figure), its both ends are connected to a body frame side and a wheel side respectively, and a piston part 1c is slidably fitted in a cylinder 1a. A check valve 14 for preventing oil in a rod side chamber A from externally flowing out when the hydraulic cylinder 1 is extended, is provided in a rod cover part 1e through which the piston rod 1b of the hydraulic cylinder 1 passes. Also, a damping valve 10 which generates an extending side damping force at the time of extending the hydraulic cylinder 1, and a shut-off valve 11 which enables oil locking when compressingly holding the hydraulic cylinder 1, are provided in the cover part 1e. |
