PURPOSE:To prevent toe-and-heel wear from developing by providing narrow grooves which intersect with lug grooves and extend in the peripheral direction, on shoulder sides, in the captioned tire having rib grooves which extend in the peripheral direction and said lug grooves which are provided at a certain interval along shoulders. CONSTITUTION:At least two rib grooves 1 which extend in zigzag in the peripheral direction and a number of lug grooves 3 which are provided at a certain interval along shoulders 2, are provided on a tire. In this construction, narrow grooves 4 which intersect with the lug grooves 3 and extend in the peripheral direction, are provided on the shoulder 2 sides. The distance D between the centers of the right and left narrow grooves 4 is set at 70-90% of the tread width W. Also, the width (t) of the narrow groove 4 is set at 1-3% of the tread width W. And, the depth (h) of the narrow groove 4 is set at 20-80% of the depth H of the rib groove 1. Thereby, toe-and-heel wear which generates at the shoulder end on the kick out side, can be prevented from developing by the narrow groove 4. |
