CORYNEFORM BACTERIUM CONTAINING RECOMBINANT DNA

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the titled bacterial strain having high L-tryptophan productivity and integrated with a gene coding N-(5-phosphoribosyl)anthranylic acid isomerase-indole-3-glycerol phosphate synthetase. CONSTITUTION:A coryneform bacterium [AJ12258 (FERM P-8470), etc.] containing a recombinant DNA containing a gene coding N-(5-phosphoribosyl) anthranylic acid isomerase (abbreviated as PRAI)-indole-3-glycerol phosphate synthetase (abbreviated as InGp), manifesting in a coryne-type bacterium and linked with a plasmid vector (e.g. PAJ82) proliferable in the cell of coryne-type bacterium. The bacterial strain is cultured under aerobic condition and controlled pH and temperature of the medium until the production and accumulation of L-tryptophan is essentially stopped.
