A hammock frame, which can be set up ready for use with a few simple manipulations and guarantees the best possible stability despite a very simple construction, is constructed in such a way that the squares (1, 2, 3 and 4) are connected to one another at their ends by three hinges (5, 6 and 7), the two outer hinges (5 and 7) being attached to the underside and the middle hinge (6) being attached to the upper side, two angles (8 and 9) which are held together by means of wing nuts (10) are provided on the underside opposite the hinge (6), the legs (15, 16, 17 and 18) are mounted at the ends of the squares (2 and 3) so as to be movable in the region of the hinges (5 and 7), and two springs (11, 12, 13 and 14) are mounted in each case at the ends of the squares (1 and 4) in the region of the hinges (5 and 7), which springs are connected to the legs (15, 16, 17 and 18). <IMAGE>
