<p>A pair of plates (21) each having an internally threaded boss (23) in its base and upturned flanges (22) along its sides are fixed to the upper surface of adjacent segments (11, 12, 14) of a segmented ski. A pair of lips (31) formed on a rigid slide bracket (27) loosely engage axially aligned lips (25) formed on the flanges (22). A resilient shim (28) is interposed between the lips (31) on the slide bracket (27) and those on the flanges (22). A pair of screws (33) carried by the slide bracket (27) and registering with the threaded bosses (23) secure the slide bracket (27) to the plates (21), thereby rigidly joining the ski segments (11, 12, 14).</p> |
