Process and system for reprocessing plastics waste

In a process for reprocessing plastics waste from landfill sites, households and industry, the following steps are carried out a) sorting of the plastics waste into reprocessable fractions (3) and non-reprocessable fractions (4), b) comminution and precleaning of the reprocessable fractions (3), c) separating out of a plastics material with an essentially uniform chemical composition, preferably high-pressure polyethylene, from the reprocessable fractions (3) and d) fine-grinding, final cleaning and drying of the separated-out plastics material. A system for reprocessing plastics waste contains a sorting device for sorting the plastics waste into reprocessable fractions (3) and non-reprocessable fractions (4), a comminution and precleaning device (37) for the reprocessable fractions (3), a separating-out device (78) for separating out plastics material with essentially uniform chemical composition from the reprocessable fractions (3), a fine-grinding and final cleaning device (86) and a drying device (95).
